The Tempo team is proud to announce the release of Tempo 6.3. This release provides an interface to manage customer accounts, custom filters for time sheets, preview of new Tempo reports, enhancements to planning and more.
All features in this release can be viewed in our admin and user documentations.
Upgrading to Tempo 6.3 is free for all customers with an active Tempo license.
Highlights of this release:
| Billing Key Management in the UIThis highly requested feature allows users to manage billing keys easily in a user interface. This will provide an easy way to add and edit keys, customers and categories. JIRA admin has to enable this feature or import keys via CSV or webservice as in previous versions. |
| New Tempo ReportsWe are excited to give you a sneak-peak of the next generation reports in Tempo that we are shipping with Tempo 6.3 as a preview. The new reports will be released with Tempo for JIRA 5. We release this as a preview so you can try it out and give us feedback so we can improve this feature.
The biggest change is that the reports are more tabular than before and worklog attributes have been moved to a column and don´t need to be expanded from the report filter view . The print view has also been improved from the old report format.
|
| Display JIRA Filter Result in the User TimesheetUsers can now filter their timesheet based on a selected filter from the user´s favorite filters list. This provides new ways to handle you daily tasks, touchpoints or things that your team is working on such as bug lists or latest version.
|
| Planned Hours in ReportsIn the new Report view, planned hours can be selected to be included in the report view, this is great when you want to review planned vs actual worked hours.
|
| New Administration Look and FeelWe have adjusted and made some refinements to the administration panel to match the new admin changes for JIRA 4.4.
Tempo administration is displayed under Time Tracking in the JIRA Administration page.
|
| Global Billing KeysBilling keys can now be marked as global. Global billing keys are visible in all projects and the typical use case is for "non-billable" work, i.e. work that is not charged to a customer but to the organization itself.
|
| New Planning FeaturesDisable planning for users Planning can now be disabled for users that are not in the Tempo admin group.
Display availability in Planning When you plan time you can now view the availability for the person for the given time period.
User can plan time on weekends It is now possible to plan time on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) but it has to be done separately as period planning extracts non working days. |
| User GadgetUsers can now add a Tempo status gadget to their personal dashboard in JIRA and Confluence.
|
| Inline Editing Dialog ChangesUsers have to Save the editing by clicking the save icon, or cancel the changes by clicking the cancel icon.
